We at CCLC believe that encouraging an artful appreciation and interpretation of the canyon leads to a more profound desire to conserve the canyon. Although THE CANYON AS ART is an evolving vision, we hope you will contact us with your email address so that we can keep you informed. We anticipate some exciting projects such as an annual Journaling Competition, perhaps even an annual Painting Competition juried by a well-known landscape or wildlife artist! Cliff Austin Mt. Vernon 11x14 oil $400 small Painters Celebrate CCLC’s 25th Anniversary
On October 30, 2011, several members of Plein Air Artists of Colorado (PAAC) gathered on the deck at Mount Vernon Country Club for CCLC’s 25th Anniversary Celebration. Painter Cliff Austin chose to “paint the painters” and finished his oil painting during the event.
